  21. Introduction
  22. ------------
  23. «AminetIdx»  is  an  alternative method than using a simple text editor for
  24. displaying  and  searching into any Aminet INDEX.  Supported files are both
  25. global  index  and  also  subdir  index.  «AminetIdx» parse these index and
  26. split  it  into dirs and subdirs.  You can then select the aminet directory
  27. to  be  displayed  according  to a filter.  The filter enable to match on a
  28. pattern,  appliable  for  'File' and/or 'Description', but also on 'Age' by
  29. setting a maximun by hand or by using the presets.  The matched list can be
  30. sorted in any wanted order, just click on column titles.

  32. «AminetIdx» also features a 'Collect' window, used to collect the files you
  33. want  to  download.   The  collect list content can be saved in both simple
  34. text or in ftp-mail text.

  36. At  last,  «AminetIdx»  is  freeware,  but  feel  free  to send me gifts or
  37. donations :-))
